The Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God and is the source of all faith and practice in a Christian's life. The King James Bible is God's inspired and preserved Word to the English-speaking world. Every Christian has the responsibility to "rightly divide the Word of truth."

I Thessalonians 2:13

II Timothy 2:15, 3:16

The Godhead

We believe in the triune God. We believe that God the father, God the son, God the Holy Spirit are coequal, coeternal, and coexistent.

II Corinthians 13:14

Luke 1:35

The Person and Work of Christ

Jesus is the incarnate Christ, God's Son, born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life to be our example. He shed His precious blood to be our Saviour. He ascended to Heaven to be our Intercessor. He is returning to be our redeemer.

John 1:1-2, 14

Romans 3:24

Galatians 4:4-5

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. He works to convict the world of sin, to show man the way of righteousness, and to warn of coming judgement. His works at salvation include baptising all believers into the body of Christ and indwelling and sealing them until the day of redemption. He also works to illuminate the believer as he studies the scripture.

John 16:8-11

Romans 8:9

I Corinthians 12:12-14

Salvation

People are saved by grace through faith, plus nothing, minus nothing. Salvations is 1) realizing that you are a sinner; 2) realizing sin must be paid for; 3) realizing Christ paid for sin with His blood; 4) realizing you must repent and personally accept Christ as your Saviour. Salvation is eternally secured by the hand of God.

John 1:12, 3:16

Romans 8:38-39

Ephesians 2:8-10

I Peter 1:18-19

The Church

We believe the church is God's church. We believe in the autonomy (self governing) of the local New Testament Church. We believe in the separation of church and state (the government has no right to govern worship). The church has two offices (Pastor and Deacon), and two ordinances (the Lord's Supper and Baptism). The Pastor is set up by God as an under-Shepherd to feed and lead God's flock.

Acts 15:19-22

Acts 15:23-26

Acts 15:27-31

Acts 20:28

Romans 16:1-4

The Return of Christ

We believe in the literal, personal, visible, imminent return of Christ. He is coming for His bride before the seven years of tribulation, and then will return with His bride after the tribulation to establish His thousand year reign on the earth.
